Development History and Design Notes

This is a timeline of the development of Gray Mansion:

This project was begun in September of 1994. A more detailed timeline describing when different parts were completed is available. Since it is a work in progress, it will be maintained and expanded indefinitely.

Planned Expansions:

Finish the basic structure
Have a signable guest book in the sitting room
In general, create more interaction, including user-generatable locations
Make it much larger, have more plot in general...constant expansion.

Editor's Design Notes:

In violation of the HTML Style Guide, I have chosen not to sign, date and head each of the locations within the Gray Mansion. I wanted to remove as much clutter from each location as possible. Each document does have a title and a return button (and often other buttons), which is more clutter than I would really like; the return button means that you're never more than two documents away from the signature. All documents have a "made" link. (The work as a whole IS signed, dated and titled, after all.)
