This document will assist you in setting up Outlook 2000 for collecting your email using our POP3 secure connection (SSL).
For additional support please contact us at
.
1) Open Outlook 2000 Account Properties
Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel. Double click on Mail. Choose to setup your new account manually.
2) Configure Outlook to collect your email
A) Click on the Servers tab and fill in the incoming and outgoing sections with mail.42inc.com
B) Check " Remember password " or you will get many annoying reminders.
C) Fill in the " Account name " field with your full email address.
D) Check the " My server requires authentication " box.
Note, some ISPs block outgoing (SMTP) email – if you are having trouble sending email after you setup your program, you will need to ask your ISP for the name of their SMTP server and use that name. For example, if you use SBC Pac Bell DSL for your Internet connectivity, you would use: smtp.sbcglobal.net for your SMTP server.

3) Next click on "Settings" for "Outgoing Mail Server" – choose the
" Use same settings as my incoming mail server " button and click on "OK."

4) Next, click on the Advanced Tab and check the "This server requires a secure connection " boxes for both incoming and outgoing mail.

Note :If you are using Norton Antivirus and having problems sending email, please disable the "scan outgoing email" setting. Since 42inc Mail provides full Anti-virus protection you do not need to use Norton Antivirus for your email.
Congratulations! You have now completed the initial setup of Outlook 2000 to send and receive mail from the mail.42inc.com server. If desired, you may now personalize Eudora settings for your use. Be careful not to change any settings specified in this document
