This document will assist you in setting up your native email client that comes with Mac OS X for collecting your email using our POP3 secure connection (SSL).

1) Open OS X Mail Preferences
Go to Applications>Mail. Double click on Mail. Choose Preferences from the main menu.
2) Configure OS X Mail to collect your email
A) Click on the Add Account tab and fill in ALL the sections as shown below.
B) Choose POP as the "Account Type"
C) Fill in the Description and “ User name ” field with your full email address (not the address shown - this is just an example).
D) Fill in your name.
E) Fill in the Incoming server as mail.42inc.com
F) Fill in your full email address and password.
3) Next Click the "Options" button for setting Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):

A) Fill in the Outgoing mail server with "mail.42inc.com"as shown below:
B) Change the "Server Port" to 4242.
C) Check the "Use Secure Sockets layer" box. D) Fill in the “ User name ” field with your full email address and password (not the address shown - this is just an example).

D) Click OK.
4) Next, click the Advanced tab
A) click "Enable this account
B) click "Include when automatically checking for new mail""
C) click "Automatically synchronize changed mailboxes"
D) click "Use SSL"

That's it, close the Preferences box - you have now completed the initial setup of Mail to send and receive mail from the mail.42inc.com server. If desired, you may now personalize your settings for your use. Be careful not to change any settings specified in this document.
