This document will walk you through the initial configuration of the Eudora 6 email client. Unless otherwise indicated, you may leave default settings unchanged.
Note before you start: If you are using Norton or any other Antivirus software, please disable ALL email scanning (both incoming outgoing email). You will not be able to use your 42, Inc. email before you do this.
1) Launch the Eudora program.
Go to Tools > Options >.
The Options box will appear - choose "Getting Started" and fill in with your account information. Note, your User Name is your FULL email address.
Check the "Allow Authentication" box.

2) Click on "Checking Mail" and choose "Required, Alternate Port":

3) Click on "Incoming Mail"
Choose POP (you can also use the more powerful IMAP, click here to see the difference
and decide which is best for you).

3) Click on "Sending Mail":
Check the "Allow Authorization" box and choose "Required, STARTTLS":

Congratulations! You have now completed the initial setup of Eudora 6 to send and receive mail from the mail.42inc.com server. If desired, you may now personalize Eudora settings for your use. Be careful not to change any settings specified in this document.
